Life has been crazy lately. And when things start to get hectic, I like to remind myself to simplify a bit. Go back to basics. Sometimes you just need something classic to help ground you. And, for me, nothing says "essential" quite like a classic chocolate chip cookie.
This project has been on my to do list for a loooong time. So I'm proud to say that I've finally finished our family quiet book! Now that my son is a busy toddler, this is the perfect addition to our Church bag. I have to keep hiding it from him because he's already obsessed with it, so I think it's a winner. A few of the pages are better suited to older children, but I figure he'll grow into it.
Most of the pages are inspired by pictures of other quiet books I've seen around the web. I didn't use any templates, so I ended up free-handing everything using felt. The assembly for a majority of the pages is fairly self-explanatory, but feel free to get in touch with me if you want more details on any of them.
Exciting news! The Cookie Snob Facebook page now officially has over 1000 likes! It may not seem like a big deal, especially compared to the real big time bloggers, but it's been so awesome to see how this tiny blog has grown over the past year...to a slightly less tiny blog! So to celebrate, I wanted to host a giveaway for all of you wonderful people who made this milestone possible.
Once upon a time, I was digging through my yarn stash and I happened upon a skein of yarn in a very particular shade of blue. The bluest blue. TARDIS blue. Okay, so maybe it wasn't a 100% match, but the resemblance was still uncanny. (Or maybe I had just been binge watching way too much Doctor Who. Potato, po-tah-to.) Either way, this yarn was destined to become a police box. And with this free pattern, now you can make your very own!
Hello and thank you for stopping by to visit my own personal corner of the web. Feel free to take a look around and check out what I've been crafting, crocheting, or cooking up. Hopefully you'll find something to inspire your own creativity!
