Meet Figment the Monster ("Figgy" for short)! Figment is an adorable snuggly monster, who can be both tiny for portability or giant for extra big hugs. Either way, he's sure to help keep the nightmares at bay with his toothy smile and signature swirly stomach. Who says monsters can't be cute?
I hope you've all enjoyed the last two posts in the Designer Spotlight series (if you missed them, you can find them here and here). My favorite thing about this series has been not only celebrating talented fiber artists, but also learning more about these designers's motivations and inspirations; everyone has a story. Today's feature shines the spotlight on Andrea of Wooden Anchor Creations. Not only is Andrea a designer, but she's also a cancer survivor who has found awesome ways to give back with her crochet. So learn more about her from her interview, take a look at some of her work, and maybe find some inspiration to give back with your own work.
For those of you working on my 3.2 mL beanie or 3 mL slouchy beanie pattern, crocheting in the 3rd loop is key to getting the right look. Working in the 3rd loop is fairly simple, but can take a bit of getting used to if you haven't done it before. So, for anyone who is using the 3rd loop for the first time, I put together this short tutorial to help you out. And, to make it a little more fun, I also designed this cute snail coaster pattern to help you practice. Now grab your hooks and let's get hookin'!
Continuing on with my new Designer Spotlight feature, I'm excited to highlight the work of another extremely talented designer. Today's interview focuses on the brilliant Stephanie of Crochetverse. She has some seriously amazing designs and is a super creative fiber artist. If you haven't had a chance to see her work yet, then you definitely need to take a look. So learn a bit more about her, get some good advice, and be inspired to make something of your own! The images throughout her interview link to their respective patterns, so if you see something you like, just give the picture a click.
Hello and thank you for stopping by to visit my own personal corner of the web. Feel free to take a look around and check out what I've been crafting, crocheting, or cooking up. Hopefully you'll find something to inspire your own creativity!
